Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals

Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) is a national membership association supporting massage therapists, bodyworkers, students, and schools across the United States. Founded in 1986 and based in Golden, Colorado, we help members navigate the practical demands of their profession, from preparing for a first job to maintaining an established practice. Our membership combines liability insurance with free continuing education, business resources, member discounts, and personalized support. We provide website-building and scheduling tools, career listings, and resources that help practitioners manage the everyday work of running a practice. Learning is central to what we offer. Through the ABMP Education Center, Massage & Bodywork magazine, The ABMP Podcast, and reference apps such as Five-Minute Muscles and Pocket Pathology, members can explore techniques, strengthen their knowledge, and stay connected to developments in the field. We also support students and educators with exam preparation, instructor development, and school resources. Our legislative advocacy keeps members informed about policy and regulatory issues affecting their work. Guided by our credo, “expect more,” we bring education, professional protection, and responsive service together so members have support throughout their careers.
