How Gyfts organises, ranks, and presents content, practitioners, and recommendations

This policy explains how Gyfts organises, ranks, and presents content, practitioners, and recommendations across the platform.
Gyfts is a discovery platform that enables users to explore conditions, modalities, practitioners, and related content. Rankings and recommendations are generated using a combination of algorithmic logic, user input, and, where applicable, paid promotional placements.
2. Types of Content Displayed
Gyfts may display:
- Practitioner profiles
- Modalities and condition-related content
- Articles and informational resources
- AI-generated recommendations (via Vidi)
- Featured or sponsored practitioner listings
Content may be displayed in different formats, including search results, curated lists, and AI-assisted recommendations.
3. Core Ranking Factors
Organic (non-paid) ranking of practitioners and content may be influenced by a combination of factors, including:
- Relevance to user input (e.g. condition, symptom, modality, or query)
- Relationship between conditions, modalities, and practitioner expertise
- Geographic proximity (where location is relevant)
- Profile completeness and quality of information provided
- User engagement signals (such as profile interaction)
- Reviews or ratings (where available)
These factors are weighted dynamically and may change over time to improve user experience.
4. AI-Assisted Recommendations (Vidi)
Recommendations generated by Vidi are based on user-provided inputs (e.g. symptoms, goals, or queries), platform data relationships between conditions, modalities, and practitioners, and general relevance and contextual matching.
Vidi recommendations are algorithmic and informational in nature. They do not constitute medical advice, endorsement, or a guarantee of suitability or outcomes.

5. Featured and Sponsored Listings
Gyfts offers practitioners the ability to increase visibility through featured or sponsored placements. These placements may appear in designated areas of the platform, may be shown alongside or within organic results, and are influenced by commercial arrangements, including subscription tiers or placement selections.
Where applicable, featured or sponsored listings are clearly identified. Paid placement may affect visibility but does not guarantee user engagement or outcomes.
6. Distinction Between Organic and Paid Content
Gyfts aims to distinguish between organic (algorithmically ranked) content and featured or sponsored (paid) placements. Users should be aware that organic rankings are based on relevance and platform factors, while paid placements are influenced by commercial participation. Both may appear within the same interface, but labelling is provided where required.
7. No Endorsement or Guarantee
The presence, ranking, or recommendation of any practitioner, modality, or content on Gyfts does not constitute endorsement by Gyfts, validation of qualifications or claims, or a guarantee of effectiveness, safety, or suitability.
Users are responsible for evaluating information and making their own decisions.
8. Dynamic and Evolving Systems
Gyfts continuously refines its ranking and recommendation systems. This may include adjusting weighting of ranking factors, improving relevance and user experience, and updating how content is displayed. As a result, rankings and recommendations may change over time.
